Getting a new dog is a wonderful experience for the whole family. Start training straight away and soon your pet will be relaxed and happy in his new home.
Naming your dog
Choose a short name ending with a strong consonant that can easily be heard.
House Rules
Decide on the rules early and stick to them. This will avoid confusion.
Pet space
Pets need their own space just like we do. Choose your pets sleeping space as early as possible. This will make them feel comfortable and safe.
Reward good behaviour
Having a little treat at the end of a training session is a positive reinforcement.
Training sessions
At the end of each training session make sure you give your pet lots of praise and a few minutes playing time. They will then start to look forward to their next session with a wagging tail!
